Welcome to the Faribault High School World Language Department wiki!
We are in the process of adding strategies to help teach vocabulary and grammar in our target languages (ASL, German, and Spanish)
Also, we are adding strategies for teaching reading and math strategies in our content areas.
If you have any ideas, please add them. The hope is that these lists will be ever evolving, and we can all learn new strategies to share with each other and better our teaching.
Department Goal:
The world language department will increase student achievement in math and reading by teaching strategies and reasoning skills as is assessed on the MCA exam.
Math Goal:
As a department we will incorporate math vocabulary and deductive reasoning skills.
Reading Goal:
We will utilitze and share vocabulary and reading strategies so that a minmum of four strategies are included in our lessons by the end of the year 2009-2010.
